The Scottish Midge Forecast is preparing for its’ eight season, mapping midge levels across Scotland to help you plan your outdoor activities. Using a set of algorithms relating midge activity to a variety of environmental and seasonal factors, the forecast is supported by live catch data from a network Predator Dynamic traps operated by brave volunteers across the country. The forecast is also supported by our dastardly deterrent against our ferocious foe, the Highland Midge – Smidge, providing immediate, powerful and waterproof protection for up to 8 hours.
