hi there! i just arrived from Greece for studies. I am an old biker and well known in Greek bicycle forums about my routes, both mountain and road ,and the pictyres that i take on the way.

I have a blogspot where you can see my routes and pics. The addres is koliri84.blogspot.com

On the subject now. I am looking for a road bike to go around Amsterdam. In Greece i have a specialized Allez pro 2007 model, but i left it back.
Does anyone has a spare road bike? Right know i do not have the money to buy but i could rent it and pay per ride. Is that possible you think?

Here is a route i made recently with my love...

Second hand road bikes start aroudn 50 euros. I would imagine that that is a cheaper option than renting.

You could try a shop, or marktplaats.nl (like eBAy and very popular in Holland). Beware that a lot bikes on that website are stolen, though. If you check the frame number with the police, you can find out about that.

thanks for the help. You said 50 euros, but for a road bike? Does anyone from this forum has anything with gears that he doesn't need?

Koliri, I wasn't thinking of gears. After all, in Amsterdam, most people use single gear bikes. If only because more expensive bikes get stolen more easily. And, I suspect, also because without gears, you can respond more quickly in messy traffic.
