Hoi,
http://www.lonelyplanet.com/destination ... ar/get.htm zegt:
"There are limited opportunities for travelling by sea to Madagascar and such aspirations will only be realized with plenty of time and determination. Expensive cruise liners, private yachts and the occasional cargo ship depart from several countries on the East African coast."
http://groups.google.nl/groups?hl=nl&lr ... 26rnum%3D1):
"Sorry, I heard from cenhosa at dts dot mg that there is no longer a ferry
and the recommendation was to fly in Air Mad from SoAfrica to get internal
discounts on air and hotels. They also said to contact them in country as
they can "arrange" everything once there. I am still looking (and hoping)
for something for the 400 kilometer trip by sea to the west coast --maybe
even from SoAfrica as surely they have shiping to their porttowns--I want to
see the country, not the city. Keep in touch."
