fietsen van Laos of Oost china naar oost Timor (Indonesia)

Hallo forum fietsers .

Zijn er fietsers die van Oost China/Laos naar oost Timor (Indonesia) zijn gefietst ?.
Mijn bedoeling is dan om begin oktober te starten en dan zeg maar die kromming naar beneden te volgen.

Laos oktober.
laatste week oktober & november Malaysia,Thailand.
December tot half january indonesia Oost Timor.
Alle tips zijn welkom !!.

Zijn er fietsers die rond dezelfde tijd zijn gestart en rond dezelfde tijd daar hebben gefietst ?.Wat was jullie ervaring alle info is welkom !!.
Waar was het vooral mooi en waar niet, alle ervaringen en tips zijn welkom.
Ook info over Laos/Luang prabang highway 13 is welkom, maar vóóral ook over Thailand, Malaysia & Indonesia.
fietsroutes en beziens waardig heden tussen Chang Mai & Bangkok.
Tussen Bangkok & Singapoor etc.

Adam is een leuke kerel. We hebben hem een paar keer ontmoet tijdens onze reis in Centraal-Azië en Kashgar.

Travelling Two’s website has a lot of information on cycling in South East Asia http://travellingtwo.com/resources/southeast-asia

Amaya and Eric of http://www.worldbiking.info are cycling from China to Indonesia and next month they will be arriving in East Timor.

Laos Luang Prabhang highway 13 to Vientane = beautiful scenery, paved, low traffic and every day you will meet at least a couple of other western cyclists.

Thailand = Great food, a lot of back roads with almost zero traffic (you can find these secondary roads via Google Earth but not on Thai maps – including the very detailed ones) but if you are looking for “gezelligheid” well, you probably won’t come across another western cyclist between Laos and Bangkok if you stick to the back roads. From Bangkok to the Malaysian border – not many back roads but the highway has a shoulder

Malaysia = West coast – great atmosphere with diverse (Chinese, Indian and ethnic Malysian) cultural backgrounds. Better quality and more diverse food but unfortunately more traffic on the main roads. East coast – predominantly ethnic Malaysian (Moslim) so a bit less “cheerful” atmosphere and not much of a “beach scene” as compared to Thailand. Most of the restaurants that you will come across on the east coast are “Padang” and in some of them the food has been left to sit in the pan for a couple of days without refrigeration…
On the map – the road along the east coast looks like a ‘secondary road’ but in actuality it is full of traffic although most of it has a decent shoulder (vluchtstrook).
