Santiago vía Alpen

Hi,

I'm writing this msg in english to avoid confusion of ppl having to read my dutch grammar :P and since i've seen that the only thing that matters here is the common passion for cycling :)

This summer I plan on going to Santiago via this route :

Maastricht\ tilburg --> basel --> biel -->Bern --> via alps to Nice ---> along the coast all the way to barcelona ---> pamplona --->Bibao---> a long the coast to Santiago

the route is not set in stone so I'm open to suggestions if you are interested to join.
I'm 24, living in A'dam ... hoping to bike at a pace 100km (most of the time).

p,s

feel free to write \ comment in dutch ... i can understand about (95%)... I'm just bad at writing .
Cheers,
Daniel

Dat wil je niet. Die kust is compleet volgebouwd, de wegen zijn druk en zonder fietsvoorzieningen. Alleen een klein stukje door de Camargue is aangenaam.

---> a long the coast to Santiago

Hi,

than you for the tips... apparently i still have some research to do about the route because this one is basically just a list of places want to visit...

*big highways and busy places are exactly what i want to avoid with exception of 2-3 bigger cities i want to see on the way so like you said avoiding the coast area to Barcelona might be better for the trip.

*as far as navigation goes... i don't have much faith in tech gear so I'm going to try and do it with (a lot) of maps and install some gps software on my smartphone just in case something goes wrong.

* time wise i have about 6-8 weeks....but i rather do it in 6 because in august i might have a chance for another trip in Jordan and the summer isn't that long :)
