Zondag 16 mei - Rondje Rotterdam #12

RONDJE WESTLAND

Op zondag 16 mei staat er weer een mooi rondje gepland. Deze keren nemen Trevor en Simone ons mee door het Westland naar de zee. Misschien zijn er nog liefhebbers voor een plons in het water?

- Verzamelen om 12.00 uur onderaan de Euromast
- Rondje fietsen en voor wie wil daarna nog ergens eten samen.
- Snelheid gemiddeld tussen 20 - 25 km/u
- Afstand ongeveer 70 km.

De leuke en mooie routes maar vooral de finishing touch van Suzanne zijn natuurlijk niet te overtreffen maar we doen een poging met onze 75 km route (iets langer dan gepland om de plons in het water te kunnen maken). De route kun je vinden op onderstaande links:

En traditie getrouw gaan we onderweg natuurlijk op zoek naar lekkere appeltaart met koffie.

Hi everyone,

just a quick note to say thanks to all those that turned up for the 'Rondje' on Sunday. In total there were 10 starters, 7 of whom were regulars with 3 new participants.

Despite some initial misgivings the route was even better than I had hoped with plenty of variety from the old Dutch towns of Delft and Schipluiden to all the new 'Kassen' of Westland. For me the highlight was definitely the excellent Appelgebak on the beach at the 'Bij Ons' cafe.

In total we did about 77 km at a good tempo with a bit of a headwind on the way there and a very pleasant tailwind for the trip back to Rotterdam.

The majority of us capped the day off with some hot-ribs and beer at Granny's restaurant in Westerhaven.

Thanks again for the nice "Rondje", I really had a great day!

I think we should do something with the Applegebak test in the future. Perhaps introducing MPA (Mile Per Applegebak) to the FietsVakantieWiki?
